Schedules and Deadlines Information

Review the topics on this page to see schedules and deadlines for adding and dropping courses, final exams and grade entry for fall, spring and summer semesters.

Final grade deadline is Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 9:00 am. Grade entry will close and all submitted grades not already rolled into Academic History will be moved into Academic History at that point, becoming an official part of a student’s academic transcript.

A link to the Withdrawal for Absences Request can be found in the Summary Class List, the Detailed Class List, and the Getting Started Section of Faculty Grade Entry. This request is available until the deadline to withdraw from classes, requests received after the appropriate deadline will be returned to the instructor.

Grades entered by 9 am between October 18 and December 19 will be rolled to Academic History every day at 9am.

Grade entry for Second Session courses will open Wednesday, November 22 2023.

Grade entry for Full Term Graduate courses will open Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Grade entry for Full Term Undergraduate courses will open Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

For any grades not submitted to the Office of the Registrar by the Final Grade deadline, an F (or No Pass, when applicable) will be entered on the student record and a grade change form will be required with the appropriate approval signature(s). Please remember that unapproved Requested Incomplete (RI) grades will be treated as missing grades if the approval form is not received by this deadline.

Incomplete (I) grades must be submitted using the Requested Incomplete process or by using the Grade Change form.

Final grade deadline is Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 am. Grade entry will close and all submitted grades not already rolled into Academic History will be moved into Academic History at that point, becoming an official part of a student’s academic transcript.

Grade entry for First Session courses will open Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The grading deadline for First Session courses is Monday, March 18, 2024 by 11:59 pm.

Grade entry for Second Session courses will open Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Grade entry for Full Term Graduate courses will open Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Grade entry for Full Term Undergraduate courses will open Monday, April 29, 2024.

Undergraduate Schedule

Locate the class day(s) and begin time to determine your final exam period. The periods for examinations are for a two-hour duration; however the instructor may choose not to allow the full two hours. Final exams are given in the regularly scheduled classroom unless notified by the instructor of an alternate location.

Students are not required to take three final exams on any one given day:

  • If three officially scheduled exams fall on the same day for a student, he or she has the option of taking one of his or her choice on another day during the exam period, agreeable to both instructor and student.
  • If such a day cannot be satisfactorily determined, the instructor will give the exam on the day before or the day after the scheduled period.
  • If one of the three exams is not originally or officially scheduled for the same day, the student should work out an agreement with the instructor, making the change for a mutually satisfactory day.
  • The student is required to request an alternate exam period no later than April 15th.
