Hilltopper Card

The Hilltopper Card is the official St. Edward's University identification card. The Hilltopper Card offers a convenient and secure way to purchase and utilize campus services and resources.

Hilltopper Cards are provisioned at the Hilltopper Card Office free of charge during regular business hours. (The Hilltopper Card Office is located next to the campus tennis courts.) Students and employees should bring a current government-issued photo ID to get a new card. Acceptable forms of identification include a state-issued ID, driver's license, passport, or military ID. There is a $15 charge for lost, stolen or damaged cards.

Topper Tender

Once the Hilltopper Card is provisioned, students, staff and faculty can make deposits to Topper Tender. Topper Tender is a pre-paid declining debit account that is activated once you deposit funds and may be used as long as you are a registered student or active employee of the university.

Students and employees can deposit funds by logging into their account using a credit/debit card or by going to the Hilltopper Card Office in person and using cash, credit/debit card or check.

Employees and students who pay with Topper Tender receive a 5% discount at all on-campus dining venues*. Topper Tender can be used at the following locations, both on and off-campus:​

• Cabo Bob's Burritos at 530 E. Ben White
• Con Madre Kitchen at 628 E. Oltorf
• CVS Pharmacy at 2101 S. Lamar Blvd. 
• Vending Machines
• South Congress Market (Ragsdale)*
• Hunt Hall Café, including Coffee Bar/Bakery (Hunt Hall)*
• The Grab and Goat (St. Andre)*
• Coffee – Meadows Coffeehouse (Ragsdale)*
• Coffee – Equity Café (Equity Hall)*

In addition to the above locations, Toper Tender can be used with Grubhub. Whether on campus or at home, you can use your Topper Tender on Grubhub for pickup or delivery. Students, Faculty, and Staff should follow the instructions below to set up a free Grubhub+ membership.

If you already have a Grubhub account, follow the instructions in the Grubhub Q&A to affiliate your account.

1. Download the Grubhub app to your phone and use your SEU email to create your account.
2. Affiliate your Account> Account> Campus dining >St. Edward's University. Choose your affiliation by indicating you are a student or faculty/staff member.
3. Add Topper Tender by choosing Account > Payment > Add new payment. Choose Topper Tender and enter your 16-digit Topper Tender number (found at MyHilltop>Topper Tender).
4. Order and pick up or get your food delivered anywhere Grubhub is accepted.

Meal Plan 

All full-time students in the undergraduate college must purchase a meal plan. Those who commute to campus or live in the on-campus apartments must buy an "E" meal plan each term for a nominal fee of $190. However, these students can purchase any residence hall meal plans if desired. All students who live in University dormitories are required to purchase an "A," "B," C," or "D" meal plan. First-year students are limited to A & B plans.   

Each plan includes a Topper Tender component that can be used at specific off-campus merchants or in the campus bookstore. Meal Plan charges can be financed through the university's monthly payment plan program. Learn about Meal Plan details and options.

All changes to Meal Plans must be made in person in the Hilltopper Card Office (located next to the campus tennis courts) or by email. No requests for changes in meal plans may be made after the 12th day of classes each semester. Meal Plan can be used at the following on-campus locations: 

• South Congress Market (Ragsdale)*
• Hunt Hall Café, including Coffee Bar/Bakery (Hunt Hall)*
• The Grab and Goat (St. Andre)*
• Meadows Coffeehouse (Ragsdale)*
• Equity Café (Equity Hall)*

Please note that all students must purchase a meal plan each semester regardless of any balance they have rolled over from the fall to the spring semester. As of June 30, every year, meal plan account balances will be reduced to $0.00. Any meal plan dollars remaining will be forfeited.
